Principal's Message

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the students, the parents, and the community of the Huron City School District.  The 2018 – 2019 school year will be my eleventh year as the intermediate school principal. The Woodlands staff is dedicated and passionate about working to develop all students academically, socially, physically and emotionally.

I want to continue to work with our staff to help develop our students to be responsible and productive citizens inside and outside of school.  Our staff will implement Rachel’s Challenge.  Clear expectations for behavior will be communicated to students on the first day of school.  These expectations will be revisited throughout the year to ensure a safe learning environment for our students.  A school atmosphere where all students are engaged and motivated to learn and reach their potential is very important to me.  The Woodlands Way is KCR-24/7-365.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo in Mathematics and my Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Bowling Green State University.  I also attended the University of Findlay to earn my Educational Leadership Licensure. Prior to coming to Woodlands I was the principal at McCormick Junior High for four years and the assistant principal at Huron High School for two years. Prior to coming to Huron I taught in the Norwalk and New London school districts.

I reside in Norwalk with my wife Linda and two children. My son, Bradley, graduated in 2015 from John Carroll University and is currently attending Indiana University earning his graduate degree.  My daughter, Jessica, is currently a senior at the University of Akron.
