Announcements - Tuesday, 10/29/19
1. Jostens will be returning to Huron High School today during lunch to take ring orders and also cap & gown orders.
2. Basketball cheer tryouts are scheduled for today
through Thursday. Cheer packets are available in the high school office. All
forms must be completed prior to tryouts.
3. Congratulations to the Cross Country team for their performance at
Saturday's Regional CC Championship. They placed 3rd in their region
and qualified for the state race. They will race in the State Cross
Country championships this Saturday.
4.
Congratulations to the Epic Bots Robotics Team who made history this
past weekend. The Robotics team brought home a 3rd place trophy for
best robot performance and the Best Sportsmanship! Congratulations to
the Designers, Builders, Drivers, Marketing and Booth, Engineering, and
T-shirt Design! These team members did some outstanding and
collaborative work!
5. All students planning on taking a CCP course at Firelands College or
online this Spring: Please come to the Counseling Office to sign up for
an advising appointment with Mrs. Sophia Jackson. She will be here again on Wednesday, October 30.
6. On
Thursday, 10/31, there will be a meeting after school in the cafeteria
for those interested in going out for wrestling this year. Also, if you
are interested in being a mat maid please attend!
7. Halloween Spirit Week @ HHS! Wednesday is 80's Day and Thursday is Costume Day.

October is Teen Celebration Month at the Huron Public Library! In
honor of this celebration, teens can check out a new activity each week
in the YA area. The final week of October features Original WII Game
Play. Come by the Library after school to play some nostalgic WII
games.
As temperatures begin to drop, the Library can be a warm place to spend time. Stop by and play some Chess on Saturday, 11/2, from 10am-12:30pm. You can learn how to play or just play with a chess master to hone your skills. All ages are welcome.
If
you're more into board and RPG games, visit the Library on Monday,
November 4 at 4pm for a special Game Night meetup. This meetup features
Magic: The Gathering. If you want to meet new players or just learn
how to play the game, this program is for you. No registration is
required.
10. Juniors going to Washington DC on the class trip - your payment of $100 is due this Friday, 11/1.

Presale tickets for Friday night's football game at Edison are on sale
in the high school office. $5 presale - $6 at the gate.
