  1. Today’s lunch is Pizza.


  1. Attention 7th and 8th grade students:  Tickets for tonight's dance will be sold at both lunches today. The cost is $5. Tickets may be purchased at the door tonight for $6. Remember the dance is from 6-8. See Mrs. Rowen if you have any questions.


  1. Attention student council members, please remember to drop off your cookies and water or lemonade to Mrs. Rowen by today.


  1. Attention 6th grade students who are running for student council, remember that your speeches need to be shared with Mrs. Rowen by 3pm on Tuesday. Elections will be held next Friday. See Mrs. Rowen if you have any questions.


  1. There will be a meeting for 8th grade girls interested in playing tennis next year on Friday, May 24 at 2:00pm.


  1. All Chromebooks, chargers and cases will be collected in homerooms on Friday, May 24.


  1. Please make sure all fees are paid so your grade card is not withheld.  Grade cards will be mailed home June 7th.


  1. Students that are waiting to enter the cafeteria for lunch must remain in line and stay to the right hand side of the hallway allowing those students and staff room to get by.


  1. If you win or do well at something, do not brag. If you lose, or do poorly at something do not show anger. To show anger or sarcasm, such as “I wasn’t playing hard,” or “you really aren’t that good,” shows weakness. McCormick Students always treat each other with respect. Remember if you do not have something nice to say then don’t say anything at all.


  1. McCormick students, when on school transportation be sure to always face forward. This not only puts you in the safest position but also those around you. McCormick students always look to keep themselves and others safe.  


  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.


  1. Stay in the Game! We are winding down on our last grading period of the year and award for the grade level with the best attendance rate for the quarter. Currently 6th grade is in the lead with an attendance rate of 94.6%. 7th and 8th grade are right behind them with rates of 93.4% and 93.2%. It is another close race with only 10 days left.  Keep coming to school.
