1. Last night at the District Championships, the team of Rylie Towns, Sam Lesnak, Lucy Watson, and Jadyn Towns won the 4x800 relay to become District Champions! Advancing to Saturday's finals were the girls 4x100 and 4x200 teams of Jayci Schmidt, Megan Harkelroad, Kaylee Parker, and Eliana Cozzie, the 4x400 relay team of Jadyn Towns, Olivia Kohlmann, Sam Lesnak, and Lucy Watson, Joslyn Dete in both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles, Megan Harkelroad in the 300 hurdles, Eliana Cozzie in the 200, and Olivia Kohlmann in the 400.
On the boys side, Beau Harkelroad won both 110 and 300 meter hurdle events and destroyed both District records in the process of advancing to Saturday. Joe Schaeffer qualified in both the 200 and 400, and the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams of Beau Harkelroad, Andrew Delaney, Joe Schaeffer, and Austin Brunow broke both District records, with the 4x200 time of 1:27.15 being ranked number one in the state for Division II.
2. Juniors and Seniors, voting for prom king & queen is underway. Please check your school email for Final Forms to vote for your nominations for the prom king & queen.
3. Tickets for prom are on sale during lunches. Tickets are $30 each or $50 per couple. Prom will be held at Sandusky Elks this Saturday (5/18) from 8pm-10pm.
Reminder if you are bringing a guest who does NOT attend Huron High School there is mandatory paperwork to be filled out and turned in when purchasing your tickets.
No tickets will be sold at the door.
4. Senior clearance slips are available in the high school office. All seniors need to take these around to their teachers during the school day. These signed slips confirm that you are free & clear of debt to Huron City Schools. These need to be turned in by the end of your school day this Friday!
5. There will be a mandatory meeting for anyone playing varsity football next season on Wednesday, May 22 at 6PM in the HHS Cafeteria. Please see Coach Hohler if you have any questions.
