  1. Today’s lunch is Cheese Quesadilla.


  1. Student Council will be selling tickets for the end of the year dance today - Friday during 7th and 8th grade lunches. Tickets are $5. To purchase your ticket, you must turn in the dance permission slip. See Mrs. Rowen if you need another copy.


  1. The following students are selling dance tickets today at lunch 

7th grade: Adelle, Tori, and Brayden

8th grade: Zack, Georgie, and Achilles


  1. For any 6th or 7th grader interested in Academic Challenge, there will be a brief meeting at the beginning of your study hall today. Listen for an announcement.


  1. Current 7th graders who express an interest in running for student council, Mrs. Rowen will meet with you today right after the morning announcements. This meeting will be brief.


  1. There will be a meeting for 6th & 7th graders interested in running cross country next year today at 2:00.  Please wait to be called down.


  1. There will be a parent/player informational meeting for boys who will be playing soccer next fall this Thursday at 7:00pm in the high school cafeteria.


  1. There will be a meeting for 8th grade girls interested in playing tennis next year on Friday, May 24 at 2:00pm.


  1. Students that are waiting to enter the cafeteria for lunch must remain in line and stay to the right hand side of the hallway allowing those students and staff room to get by.


  1. McCormick students respect the opinion of others whether they agree with the other person or not. During a discussion, you should respect the other students’ comments, opinions, and ideas. Listen to their thoughts attentively and do not interrupt until they have finished their entire thought. At no time do McCormick Students put down or make fun of another student for their opinion, thought or idea that they share.


  1. McCormick students do not save seats in the lunchroom. They are always accepting and welcoming of others, especially those that want to spend time with you.  


  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.


  1. Stay in the Game! We are winding down on our last grading period of the year and award for the grade level with the best attendance rate for the quarter. Currently 6th grade is in the lead with an attendance rate of 94%. 7th and 8th grade are right behind them with a rate of 93%. It is another close race.  Keep coming to school.
