Current 6th graders who expressed an interest in running for student council, check your huronstudents email for a message from Mrs. Rowen.
Student Council members, if you did not receive the sheet with the reminders yesterday, see Mrs. Rowen. Also, check google classroom for when you are working at the dance and selling tickets.
Student Council will be selling tickets for the end of the year dance Wednesday - Friday at 7th and 8th grade lunches. Tickets are $5. To purchase your ticket, you must turn in the dance permission slip. See Mrs. Rowen if you need another copy.
For any 6th or 7th grader interested in Academic Challenge, there will be a brief meeting at the beginning of your study hall on Wednesday. Listen for an announcement.
Current 7th graders who express an interest in running for student council, Mrs. Rowen will meet with you on Wednesday right after the morning announcements. This meeting will be brief.
There will be a meeting for 6th & 7th graders interested in running cross country next year on Wednesday at 2:00. Please wait to be called down.
There will be a meeting for 8th grade girls interested in playing tennis next year on Friday, May 24 at 2:00pm.
Students that are waiting to enter the cafeteria for lunch must remain in line and stay to the right hand side of the hallway allowing those students and staff room to get by.
Good luck tonight to Marcus Rager, Hudson Henning, William Meyer, and Cameron Harrington as their soccer team is playing in the State Cup Quarter-Finals tonight.
McCormick Students show respect to adults. They always respond to adults by saying things like “yes ma’am” or “no sir.” Just nodding your head or saying any other form of yes or no is not acceptable.
McCormick students always greet visitors to our school and the classroom and make them feel welcome.
Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards. We will be giving away some great prizes.
Stay in the Game! We are winding down on our last grading period of the year and award for the grade level with the best attendance rate for the quarter. Currently 6th grade is in the lead with an attendance rate of 94%. 7th and 8th grade are right behind them with a rate of 93%. It is another close race. Keep coming to school.
