    1. Today’s lunch is Chicken Strips


    1. Lunch money and notes for the office should be brought to the office during first period.


    1. Reminder to all students:  

    - If you do not arrive at school by 8:00am or provide a doctor’s excuse, you cannot participate in after school activities.

    - Cell phones are to be kept in your lockers at all times.

    - Charged Chromebooks are to be brought to school every day!

    - Only those students who are riding the bus are to leave the classroom at 2:20.  Walkers, bike riders, and parent pickup students are to remain in the classroom until the 2:25 dismissal bell.


    1. Attention Student Council and Jr Honor Society members, please check Google classroom for the latest updates and announcements.


    1. Students are reminded that if you would like to change your schedule, you have until this Friday, August 30, to do so.  Your parents must write a note, complete the Final Form sent out to parents by Mr. Doughty, or email Mr. Doughty directly with the change you are requesting.


    1. Ripcho Studios will be here on Friday to take school pictures.  If you did not get an order form, or need another one, please stop by the office.  Bring your completed order form and payment with you on Friday to give to the photographer.  Pictures can also be ordered online at ripchostudio.com using the passcode 1001152715.


    1. There is no school on Monday, September 2.


    1. The Huron Public Library would like to welcome you to the new school year with BACK-TO-SCHOOL SNACKS & ACTIVITIES this week after school. The library is also looking for 7th & 8th graders interested in joining the Teen Library Council. 


    1. McCormick students respect their educational environment. They make sure if they see a mess or trash laying around, they do their part by helping to pick or clean it up. Whether in the cafeteria, restroom, hallway or classroom do your part and help to keep our McCormick home neat and orderly to support our learning environment. 


    1. Reminder - Students are not to be chewing gum at McCormick. Students caught with gum will be issued a detention.
