Congratulations to the 8th grade boys basketball team who won against Willard in overtime 53-51. The 7th grade boys played a great game but lost in overtime by 1 point. Good job boys!
ROX Leadership will meet today during 2nd period in the counseling office.

Attention all students and staff, Student Council will be taking carnation orders today through Friday during all 3 lunches. The cost for a carnation is $2 and carnations will be delivered on February 13, since we do not have school on February 14.
Reminder to 6th grade: Dare Graduation is tomorrow at 9:30. Remember winter coats are needed in order to walk to the bowling alley. Also, remember to purchase your carnations today since you won’t be at school for lunch tomorrow.
STEAM club will meet in Mr. Haplea’s room after school tomorrow.
It is time to order your yearbook! The 2024/2025 McCormick Middle School yearbooks can be ordered online at ybpay.com using code 14845925. The deadline to order a yearbook is April 10, 2025. Yearbook order forms have also been handed out to students.
If you win or do well at something, do not brag. If you lose, or do poorly at something do not show anger. To show anger or sarcasm, such as “I wasn’t playing hard,” or “you really aren’t that good,” shows weakness. McCormick Students always treat each other with respect. Remember if you do not have something nice to say then don’t say anything at all.
Continue to showcase those soft skills that employers are looking for. In doing so you can earn a ticket for the 3rd quarter drawing. 2nd quarter we gave away 40 gift cards. There may be even more in the 3rd quarter.
We are finding chewed gum in places other than the trash can. Students are reminded that gum is not to be chewed during the school day. Discipline will be issued
