Reminders:
Charge your chromebook every night. Bring your charged chromebook and charger to school everyday. Do not borrow from others and do not leave chargers/chromebooks in classrooms.
Do not leave for after school activities until the 2:25 bell.
Cell phones are to be kept in your lockers.
If you are not at school by 8:00am, or if you are absent for the day, you can not participate in after school activities unless you were physically at the doctor/dentist and have a medical excuse stating that.
All Jr. Honor Society members, please check google classroom for the updates that were sent late last week.
Cheer Tryout packets are available in the office. Incoming 7th and 8th grade cheer clinic/tryouts are today. Incoming 9th grade cheer clinic is today and tryouts are tomorrow.
Track Uniforms must be ordered and received by March 25, which is picture day.
There will be a Student Council meeting tomorrow for any 7th or 8th grade member who wants to work on dance theme ideas for the end of the year dance and for any 8th grade member to work on Class of 2029 t-shirt ideas.
The 6th grade Civics Club is collecting items to make care-packages for the homeless. Donate an item on Friday to earn the privilege of wearing a hat to school on Friday.
Third Quarter ends this Friday. Make sure to check your grades and check with your teachers to make sure assignments are turned in. Grade cards will be distributed on Friday, March 28.
Spring Break is March 17 - March 21. If you plan to take extra time off during spring break, a vacation form must be completed and turned in so Mr. Doughty can approve the absence.
If you are planning to take CCP classes for this summer or next school year, you need to turn in your CCP Letter by April 1st. Forms are available on our website under High School Counseling.
It is time to order your yearbook! The 2024/2025 McCormick Middle School yearbooks can be ordered online at ybpay.com using code 14845925. The deadline to order a yearbook is April 10, 2025. Yearbook order forms have also been handed out to students.
12 . If you win or do well at something, do not brag. If you lose, or do poorly at something do not show anger. To show anger or sarcasm, such as “I wasn’t playing hard,” or “you really aren’t that good,” shows weakness. McCormick Students always treat each other with respect. Remember if you do not have something nice to say then don’t say anything at all.
