2. If you are missing items like clothing, water bottles or lunch boxes, please check the lost and found located outside of the auditorium.

3. The 7th grade girls basketball team beat Tiffin Columbian last night 38-16.  Lauren LaCivita and Laney Schlessman both scored 12 points, Kate Gilbert 6, and Abby Taylor 4.  The 8th grade girls basketball team also beat Tiffin Columbian last night 40-9.  Reece Hotz scored 20 points, Grace Knight 10, and Lizzie Perin and Eliza Steinkopf both added 4.  The lady tigers are back in action Wednesday vs Edison at home.  

4. Attention Students and Staff:

Student Council will collect Chemo Care Package items from Wednesday, November 29th until Friday, December 15th.  Please bring in new items to your homeroom class for the kids who are battling cancer at Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. The winning homeroom class in each grade will be given a reward after Christmas break!

5. Please join Woodlands and McCormick Rox groups with their winter coat drive.  Donate new and gently used coats for Huron students and OHGO to assist families in need.  Coats will be collected through December 18th.  The collection box is located in the hall in front of the auditorium.

6. If you are planning to take extra days off for Winter Break, a vacation form needs to be completed and turned in to the school office.

7. Winter Break is from December 21 - January 2.

8. On December 20th there is an early dismissal at 1:20.

9. If you win or do well at something, do not brag. If you lose, or do poorly at something do not show anger. Instead McCormick Students say something like, “I really enjoyed the competition, and I look forward to playing against you again,” or “Good Game,” or don’t say anything at all. To show anger or sarcasm, such as “I wasn’t playing hard anyway. You really aren’t that good,” shows weakness. McCormick Students always treat each other with respect. Remember if you do not have something nice to say then don’t say anything at all.  

10. McCormick students when you receive something, do not insult the gift or the giver.

11. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.  

12. Flu and Cold Season is here!!!  Help keep your classmates healthy by:

• Washing your hands often, especially before eating and after sneezing or coughing.  

• Keeping your hands away from your eyes, ears, nose and mouth.  

• Using good cough etiquette by coughing and sneezing into your sleeve or a kleenex rather than your hands.
