1. Congratulations to Aleah Bishop for being selected as the Student of the Week. Aleah was selected because according to her teachers she is always friendly and positive. She also demonstrates great work ethic both in and out of the classroom. Stop by the high school office to claim your prize from Mr. Lamb.
If you are a driver and are recognized as Student of the Week, feel free to use the parking spot labeled for that.
2. Today is the last day to fill out an application for the Sources of Strength Peer Leader team. Applications are on your Google Classroom for Ms. Scherley and Mrs. James.
3. Attention anyone who will be 18 by Election Day: You need to register by this coming Monday, October 7, if you plan to vote. Please go to the Ohio Voter Registration link listed below or see Mrs. Merckens with any questions.
4. TLC and Huron 5 are working together to organize a Huron High School talent competition! If you have a talent that you would love to share, this competition is for you. The winning talent will win a $100 visa gift card, while the 2nd place talent will win a $50 visa gift card. To enter the competition, please share a video of you and your talent to Mrs. Lee via google drive at
[email protected]. Video submissions must be shared before the end of the school day on Monday, October 21.
5. The 23-24 HHS yearbooks are in! Stop by the high school office to see if you ordered one. If you didn't and would like to buy one there are extras available. The cost is $65. Checks can be made out to Huron High School.
6. Attention Seniors: Packets can be picked up in the office regarding painting of Senior parking spots.
7. Attention Juniors & Seniors who are NOT in Mrs. Merckens' Government class right now: There will be a political debate in our HS Gym at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and Juniors & Seniors will attend and be in charge of asking questions of our Erie County candidates. Please see your counselor's Google Classroom for more information about how you can research, submit and ask a question.
AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
