HURON HIGH SCHOOL

1. For the fifth consecutive year, the Huron High School Football Program
has been honored as an Academic All-Ohio Team by the Ohio High School
Football Coaches Association. These teams are selected based on the
combined GPA's of the Top 22 academic players on the team that have
earned a varsity letter. Only the top schools in the state are
recognized each year. Congratulations to all of the players, teachers,
and coaches for putting in the hard work and keeping up with this
wonderful tradition.
2. Huron Rotary's Interact Club is accepting membership applications.
The Interact Club is trying to better the world through community and
global projects. If you are interested in joining, please pick up an
application form in the office or contact Grace Moser for more
information. The forms are due back to the office by January 19, 2016.
3. Attention all students who are planning on going to EHOVE next year: If
you missed your EHOVE field trip, have additional questions, or would
like to participate in the Shadow Day, please see Mrs. Fahr in the
Guidance Office. EHOVE Shadow Day is Jan. 26th.
4. Attention all SENIORS who are working towards the Diploma of
Distinction: You must have 50 hours of documented and approved community
service turned in to Mr. Munafo NO LATER THAN THE LAST DAY OF 1st
SEMESTER (JAN.15th). For Seniors, no community service hours will be accepted after this deadline.
5. Attention all SENIORS attending college next year- There will be a Financial Aid Evening this Thursday at 6pm
in the HHS Library. If you have questions about the FASFA,
scholarships, loans, grants etc, this information meeting will be
extremely helpful for you and your parents! Be sure to attend. 6. With
the end of the semester quickly approaching, students are reminded to
take care of any school fees, overdue library books/fines, lunch fees,
etc or you grade card may be withheld.
7. The Ohio Army National Guard will be visiting today during lunch.

8. Huron Public Library Events this week:
Open Chess, Thursday, January 7 at 5:30 pm. No registration necessary.
The Teen Library Council meets this Friday, January 8 at 2:45 pm.
9. Attention all students who took the PSAT: Scores will be accessible beginning January 7th at www.studentscores.collegeboard.org. Mrs. Fahr will receive your paper scores in late January. She will be meeting with you in February to go over scores.
10. Lunch today is bosco breadsticks or a cold cut sub.
