HURON HIGH SCHOOL

ANNOUNCEMENTS - FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2017

1. Tickets for tonight's 80's Dance can be purchased at lunch, in the high school office or through Mrs. Sadowski today. All tickets are $5. The dance takes place at the high school following the basketball game. All proceeds will go towards the After Prom.

2. Sign-ups for the March 1st blood drive are being held during lunches. You must be 16 or older to donate. If you are 16 you need a parent permission slip which is available in the high school office or at the sign up table during lunch.

3. Attention Students: Civista Bank is looking for summer tellers and interns, must be 18 years old, willing to work 30-40 hours a week including some Saturdays. Applications can be found here https://civistabank-hr.silkroad.com/epostings/index.cfm?fuseaction=app.jobsearch and is located under the "Seasonal Position" job title.

4. New scholarships for Seniors:
Medical Mutual Scholarship - Award of $500 available to graduating high school seniors. Interested students can apply online by visiting http://tinyurl.com/MedicalMutual17 DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MAY 31, 2017.

The Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons Scholarship - For more information and applications, please stop into the Guidance office. DEADLINE MARCH 1, 2017

5. Attention all students taking the Accuplacer on Monday: Vouchers will be sent to your email address that you supplied on your BGSU application by the end of the school day today. Study guides can be found on the Huron High School Counseling website under HHS Academics and College Credit Plus.

Please check your email. You DO NOT need to print your voucher. Not all students will be testing at the same time.

Please wait to be called or for a pass to be sent to you when we are ready to have you test on Monday. See Mrs. Fahr with questions.

If you do not receive a voucher, you will test on March 9 at HHS or you can go out to Firelands and take on your own.

6. Auditions for the Spring musical will be held Monday, February 27th right after school until 5:30. Auditions will continue Tuesday, February 28th in the evening from 6-8. See Miss Jackson for any questions.

7. For anyone interested in playing baseball/softball through the Huron Parks Department: Registration will be held Sunday, February 26 at the Huron Eagles. Information is available in the high school office.

The University of Mount Union will be visiting Tuesday, February 28th at 10:00am in the Tiger Union. Stop into the Guidance office to sign up.

9. Lunch today is mini corn dogs.
