1. The next STEAM Club meeting is TODAY, when we will complete the pig’s heart dissection and rolling prints. 

2. Reminder: School will not be in session tomorrow or Monday. Enjoy the long weekend!

3. Please check the lost and found box located in the Gym for lost items….such as coats, clothing, lunch box, etc.

4. Academic Challenge Members will meet after school on Wednesday in Mrs. Rowen’s room 207.

5. Student Council members - check Google Classroom for a survey, the recycling schedule, and a reminder of which committee you are a part of. See Mrs. Rowen if you have any questions.

6. Students who received an email invitation to apply to the McCormick Junior Honor Society: The final date to submit the Student Activity Information Form and essay is Wednesday, February 17th. See Mrs. Aber if you have questions.

7. Congratulations to the 8th grade boys basketball team who won against Oak Harbor last night in a close, hard fought game. 

8. Parent-Teacher conferences are on Tuesday, February 23rd from 3pm-6pm and on Wednesday, March 3rd from 3pm-7pm. Parents should call the office to schedule a conference time.

9. Students are reminded that cell phones should be stored in your bookbags or lockers. Cell phones are not to be used when in the hallways or restrooms. Cell phones should only be out/used in classrooms when/if the teacher permits it. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Carter.

10. Students are also reminded that hats and hoods are NOT to be worn in the school building. Please see Mr. Carter if you have questions.

11. AND once again…..students are reminded to bring their CHARGED Chromebook to school. Bring a mask to school every day and wear it properly at all times, covering the nose and mouth.

13. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
The Huron Public Library will be CLOSED on Monday, February 15 for Presidents' Day. Curbside Pickup and other Library services will not be available on this day.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS/PHOTOGRAPHERS: The Library wants YOU to share your artwork or photography in our Online Community Art Gallery. Visit the Library's virtual Gallery space on huronlibrary.org to view art and photography shared by your community, then share your own by emailing photos to [email protected]. All ages can participate. 

Not sure what to read? Let us be your matchmaker! Request a Blind Date with a Book through Curbside Pickup until February 20. Each book was selected by Library staff and the Teen Library Council and then wrapped for secrecy with a brief description. Request one or a bunch at once!

The Teen Library Council is seeking teens in Grades 7 - 12 with ideas for Library programs, way to improve the Library for teens, or ideas to improve your community. If you've got ideas- we want to hear them! Join the discussion at the next TLC meeting on Monday, February 22 at 4 pm on Zoom.
