1. Parent Teacher Conferences are today from 3:00pm-6:00pm and Thursday, October 8th from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Parents are reminded to call the office to schedule a conference time.

2. Mrs. Rowen will be meeting with any 7th and 8th grader who is interested in running for student council on Thursday and Friday at the beginning of study hall. Students should report to study hall and notify their teacher before reporting to the auditorium.

3. Congratulations to both the 7th and 8th grade girls volleyball teams who won their matches last night at Willard. Good luck tomorrow girls.

4. Super job to the boys and girls cross country team in their races at the Fremont Invitational. Boys placed 3rd overall. Girls placed 2nd and received an awesome plaque that you can see in Mrs. LaCrosse's room. Boys were led by Jake Case, Peter Cencer, and Austin Brunow. Carter Schelessman had a course and personal record! The girls were led by Samantha Lesnak with a course record, followed by Brynne Hartley and Molly Watson. Kaitlyn Kurtz, Katie Scherley, Leah Cozzens, and Ellie Lesnett all had personal or course records. Nice job!
The Tiger Cross Country team will face some tough competition this weekend at the Huron Invitational. Good luck runners. You got this!

6. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
The Library is now open to the public! Tweens and teens under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult due to current safety regulations. The Library also has new Student Study Tables open from 3 - 4 pm and 4 - 5 pm after school. Do you need a place to study or wait for a ride after school? Teens ages 12 - 18 can reserve their own private table in the Library. Visit huronlibrary.org to make a reservation.

Banned Books Week is coming up on September 28. Traditionally, Banned Books Week is a time when libraries and other places host events that raise awareness about censorship. What better way to celebrate than to check out a Banned Books Bundle from the Library! Stop by and grab one from the special Banned Books Week kiosk.

Teens in Grades 7 - 12 put your TikTok skills to the test and enter the Teen Monthly TikTok Challenge for a chance to win some cool prizes. Each month, the Library will provide a new theme for your TikTok videos. September's theme is pirates (ARGHHHH). Create a unique 10 - 60 second clip and send it to us by the end of the month for a chance to win and be featured on our social media pages! Visit huronlibrary.org for full contest rules.
