1. Parent Teacher Conferences are Thursday, October 8th from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Parents are reminded to call the office to schedule a conference time.

2. There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in swimming or diving this fall in the auditorium on Tuesday October 6th at 6:00 pm. The meeting is for athletes and their parents.

3. Attention 7th and 8th graders...the first STEAM Club meeting is THIS Thursday from 2:45-4:00 pm. Join Mr. Haplea and Mrs. LaCrosse for an exciting project called SPIN PAINTING. This will be a fun way to explore art and centripetal forces. You will create a super cool piece of artwork and enjoy seeing the science behind it! Even if you didn't sign up, you are still welcome. Join us Thursday 2:45-4:00 in the Art room.

4. Congratulations to both boys and girls cross country with their 3rd place finishes at the Huron Invitational. Boys were led by Jake Case, Peter Cencer, and Austin Brunow. Getting another personal record was Grant Bauer. Girls were led by Samantha Lesnak, Brynne Hartley, and Kaitlyn Kurtz. Rachel Merkens had a phenomenal personal record as well. Keep up the good work, team, as you prepare for the SBC race at Tiffin on October 17th.

6. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
Need a place to study or wait for a ride after school? The Huron Public Library has new Student Study Tables open from 3 - 4 pm and 4 - 5 pm after school. Teens ages 12 - 18 can reserve their own private table in the Library. Visit huronlibrary.org to make a reservation.

Think you are good at TikTok challenges? Teens in Grades 7 - 12 can put your TikTok skills to the test and enter the Teen Monthly TikTok Challenge for a chance to win some cool prizes. Each month, the Library will provide a new theme for your TikTok videos. October's theme is Halloween. Create your best spooooky 10 - 60 second clip and send it to us by the end of the month for a chance to win and be featured on our social media pages! Visit huronlibrary.org for full contest rules.

The Teen Library Council's next meeting via Zoom is on Monday, October 12 at 4pm. Join the discussion to add your ideas to improve the Library and the Huron community! New members are welcome to join!
