Announcements - Friday, 5/04/18
1. Officer Lobsinger will be taking a picture of Seniors in their college t-shirts today at the end of third period,
around 9:50. Senior superlatives will be announced during this time, with pictures to follow next Tuesday the 8th.
2.
Attention all Juniors and Seniors: Prom tickets will be on sale all of
next week during lunch. The cost is $50 for a couple and $30 for a
single. Included in the price is admission to after prom. Waivers for
after prom will also be available and must be turned in.After Prom info:
Don't miss out on a night to remember with your classmates! AFTER-PROM
2018 at the football stadium! All you can eat Cameo food truck! Giant
inflatables, including an obstacle course and jousting! Great music!
Prizes given away every 15 minutes!
Your prom ticket includes
entrance to After-Prom at no cost. If you are not going to Prom, but
would like to attend After-Prom, tickets will be sold for $10 to junior
and senior students only!
Everyone must have a signed After-Prom waiver to attend. Waivers must be returned to the office or Prom ticket table by Friday, May 11. Without a waiver, you cannot attend the After-Prom.
Don't
miss out on a night to remember with your classmates! Great food, fun
and prizes! And it's all free! Pick up your waivers at the ticket
table starting Monday and let the good times roll!
3. Mrs. Bengele will be hosting an exam jam session for Algebra I after school on Tuesday, May 8 in Room 107.

Seniors if you are in need of purchasing a tassel, please stop into the
high school office. The cost is $10. You can pay with cash or a check
made out to Jostens.
5. Attention all seniors in the top 10% -- please get your info and picture to Mrs. Lee by Wed., May 9.
6. Today
is the last day for SENIOR couples that are attending prom to sign-up
for prom king and queen. Sign ups are in the office.
7. All students who applied for the Sandusky Elks Student of the Month are invited to their annual dinner Tuesday, May 8th at 6:30 p.m.,
where two scholarship awards will be announced. Student tickets are
free and additional tickets are $8.00 each. Checks need to be made out
to the Sandusky Elks. Please see Mrs. Smith in the counseling office for tickets.
8. Petitions for class officer and student council representatives are available in the high school office.
9. Attention all registered voters: Primary Election Day is next Tuesday,
May 8. Registered 17-Year-Olds vote for candidates only, but
18-Year-Olds vote for Candidates and Issues. Decide what party you will
declare and prepare to vote!
10. Students currently in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in YES, a 4-day 3-night service retreat June 6-9, in which students paint houses for families in need in Huron and Sandusky. Cost is $50. The registration deadline is May 14th. Registration forms are available in the high school office.
11. Attention all students who are taking a CCP class next year who are not
already CCP students: You must apply to BGSU Firelands and or UF as a
CCP student and also take the Accuplacer test if you have not already done so.

12. Attention students and staff who haven't already ordered a 2017-2018 yearbook. The deadline to order a yearbook is Friday, May 18. Either order one online by visiting jostensyearbooks.com, or bring a check in to Mrs. Lee, made out to Huron High School, for $65. 13. On June 10th
at Fabens Park in Huron, KICK*IT, a fundraiser to benefit children's
cancer research will take place. All ages are welcome and encouraged to
play. Kickball games are played from 1-5pm. Flyers can be found in the office to help with registrations or making a donation.
14. Lunch today is macaroni & cheese.
