1.  Tomorrow, November 11, is Veterans Day, and we hope all Americans recognize the sacrifices made by our military veterans in all of the branches of service and in all wars.

Veterans Day used to be known as Armistice Day, and was originally created to commemorate the end of World War I on November 11, 1918.  Congress later created Veterans Day as a legal holiday in 1954 in order to honor American veterans of all wars.

As you enter the cafeteria today, please notice a small round table.  The purpose of this table setting is to honor a special segment of our nation’s veterans--those held as Prisoners of War or who remain Missing in Action. National Honor Society members will share more about the Missing Person Table with each class during 3rd period today.

2.  This week's student of the week is Brooke Randall.  Brooke's teachers indicate that she's alway super helpful, positive, and a great leader.  Keep up the great work, Brooke.

3.  There will be a short meeting after school today for boys or girls interested in going out for wrestling.  Please meet in the cafeteria.

4.  Fall sport athletes don't forget locker decorations come down today after school. If you are interested in saving yours, please take it down by the end of the day.

5.  Tryouts for basketball cheer will be held on Saturday, 11/11, at Woodlands beginning at 8am.  Forms are available in the high school office and need to be turned in on the day of tryouts.
