  1. Today’s lunch is French Toast Sticks.


  1. Girls basketball faced Vermilion last night. The 7th grade won 42-21. Laney Schlessman scored 17 and Abby Taylor 10.  The 8th grade girls also beat Vermilion 41-33 with a big 4th quarter. Reece Hotz scored 16 points and Grace Knight added 11. It was a big team effort to pull out a victory.   The girls play Oak Harbor tonight at home. 


  1. Attention Student Council members, there will be a meeting today, during 8th grade lunch in Mrs. Rowen's room. All Members should attend.


  1. Attention ROX girls! 8th grade ROX will meet 1st period in the band room on Friday. 7th grade ROX will meet during 7th period in the art room on Friday.


  1. Tonight, the State of Ohio required informational session for CCP will be held at 7pm in the Huron High School cafeteria. Students who have not participated in CCP in the past and are planning to in the 2024/25 school year, this meeting is mandatory. Students who have taken classes through CCP already are welcome at the meeting as well. An Intent Form for 2024 must be completed whether a student has participated or not. 


  1. Saturday mornings in February, EHOVE has Youth Enrichment Programs.  Register online at ehove.net through Tuesday, January 30th. Register early.  Class size is limited.   Information is available online at ehove.net and brochures are available in the office.


  1. McCormick students are connecting to continue the chain reaction of kindness. Kind Words + Kind Actions = Huge Results. So make sure you lend a helping hand, accept others and treat everyone with respect. 


  1. McCormick students never cut in line. This is happening a lot during lunch.  When your table is dismissed, stand, walk to the mural wall and turn to walk to the line.   Remain in line behind the person you are following. 


  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.  


  1. Reminder to all students that cell phones are to remain in your locker during the school day.  


  1. The Superintendent’s Advisory Council will meet on Friday this week at 7:30 in the band room.
