HURON HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS - TUESDAY, MAY 16, 2017
1. Due to work in the gym, there will be no volleyball after school today.
2.
The Spring Arts Festival is tonight. Come listen to the
magnificent sounds of the bands, choir and see the talent of the art
students! Doors open at 5:30pm There will be a concession stand so
bring your pocket money and have hot dogs, snacks and refreshments.
3. Because of District Track, the National Honor Society meeting will now be after school this Thursday
for all newly inducted and former NHS Sophomores & Juniors. Please
meet in the Student Union for this brief but important meeting to elect
next year's officers and to discuss membership requirements.
4. Attention Art Club and Student Council members. You will be called down to the gym during 3rd period Thursday, May 18, for a quick group picture to be used in the yearbook. Please plan accordingly!
5. Student Council "Member at Large" forms are available in the office or with Mrs. Sadowski.

Admiral's Pointe is having a Senior Prom for their residents on
Thursday, May 18th from 7-8:30pm. They are looking for students who
would like to "dress up and show up" to help their residents enjoy prom
night. Community service hours would be given for this. Please stop in
the office with any questions.
7. Attention all students: EHOVE Summer School applications are available
in the Counseling Office if you are interested in taking a credit
recovery course in Math. Please pick up an application if you are
interested.
8. The deadline to order a yearbook is Friday, May 19. Either order one online by visiting jostensyearbooks.com, or bring a check in to Mrs. Lee, made out to Huron High School, for $65.
9. BGSU
Firelands students are reminded to turn your course books into
the book store at Firelands College. Whatever books the
college does not take back - those need to be turned in to the high school
office.

Fisher-Titus Medical Center’s Autism Spectrum Kids (ASK) Program and Pediatric Therapy Department are looking for
committed high school volunteers to help with our annual summer
programs for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Volunteers are
critical to the success of our program. If you are interested there is a handout in the high school office with the full list
of programs, dates, and times that we need
volunteers for.
11. Lunch today is an Italian sub.
With the end of yet another great school year fast approaching
the cafeteria will no longer allow charging. Please be sure you either
have money on your account or in hand when purchasing items from the
cafeteria. Mrs. Rich will be happy to inform you of your balance if you
need. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to serve you this year.
