1. Congratulations to Kennedy Schlessman, Jadyn Towns, and Elijah Routh! They will all be competing in the State Cross Country meet at Fortress Obetz next Saturday. Kennedy finished second in the region, Jadyn qualified in 13th place, and Elijah qualified with a 9th place finish. Great job Tiger Cross Country!
2. There will be a meeting on Wednesday, November 3rd, for anyone interested in joining the Chess Club. The meeting will take place in Mr Asher's room (105) right after school.
3. Basketball tryouts for boys 9-12 will be held today and Tuesday from 5-7 in the HS gym.
4. A representative from the Marines will be in the cafeteria during lunches on Wednesday, 11/3.
Youngstown State will be visiting HHS on November 10th, 2021 at 10:30am. Juniors and Seniors please sign up in the School Counseling office is interested.
5. BGSU Firelands is pairing with Second Harvest Food Bank. Their next mobile pantry is Tuesday, November 9th, from 4-6pm.. If you are interested in volunteering and earning Community Service hours, please see the flyers posted outside the high school office that walk you through the sign-up process.
6. Huron Public Library is in need of volunteers:
We are in need of some manpower for a very short period of time to move 75 cartons of books from the basement of the library to the first floor. We have carts and an elevator so 3-4 students would probably work. The library would like it done on November 4th. Please see the main office to sign up.
7. Today a representative from The Ohio State University will be here at 9am to meet with interested Juniors & Seniors. Please be sure to sign up in the school counseling office if interested.
8. The Union will be closed 6th & 7th period today.

Read what others wrote, then add your own entry. Once a journal is full, it will be added to our regular collection for the community to check out like a regular book! Find these journals in the main lobby today.
Want to learn a classic card game to play with your friends? Join fellow players for Euchre Night on Wednesday, November 3 starting at 6:30 pm. Games are open to beginners or experts.
Work on your strategic thinking by practicing Chess with chess master Paul Sherwood on Saturday, November 6 starting at 10 am. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.
The Teen Cooking Challenge is back at the Library this fall! This popular program for Grades 7 - 12 continues with a new, delicious recipe to try at home. Pick up a kit on Wednesday, November 10. Register fast because supplies are limited.
Help your neighbors before the holidays and lower your late fees! Food for Fines begins on Saturday, November 13 and goes until Saturday, November 20. Fines for an overdue Huron Public Library item or fine will be waived in exchange for each non-perishable donation.

10. Jostens will be here Tuesday to meet with the Freshman class about Class rings. Freshman are to report to the gym for the 7:25am meeting.
