1. LUNCH MENU: today-Meatball Sub

2. Today is the beginning of 2nd quarter. Please make sure you go to your 2nd quarter elective today.

3. Attention Student Council members, there will be a meeting Tuesday, during 8th grade lunch.

4. Attention 7th & 8th grade girls who are interested in playing basketball for McCormick. Tryouts are today from 4:30pm-6:00pm in the gymnasium. Please see Ms. Jackson or Ms. Taraschke if you have any questions.

5. 7th grade boys basketball tryouts will be today and Tuesday from 6:00pm-7:30pm.

6. 8th grade boys basketball tryouts will be Tuesday, November 2nd and Wednesday, November 3rd from 3:00pm-4:30pm.

7. Are you an artist? Do you like drawing? If you would like to design the 2021-22 Yearbook cover, now is your chance! Using a regular piece of blank computer paper: 8 1/2 x 11 inches, draw your own original design in color. Write McCormick Junior High at the top, along with the current school year. Submit your drawing to either Mr. Maleski or Mrs Brown by Friday, November 12.

8. There will be a meeting for students interested in wrestling during study halls on Wednesday. Please listen for the announcement to be called down.

9. Grade cards will be distributed next Friday.

Add your thoughts to the Huron Public Library's new Huron Stories: Community Journals, made for all ages! Check out titles like: Library Recommendations, Teen Sketches, Ideas for the Future of Huron, Good Vibes, orWhat's Behind the Door? Each journal checks out for one week. Read what others wrote, then add your own entry. Once a journal is full, it will be added to our regular collection for the community to check out like a regular book! Find these journals in the main lobby today.

Want to learn a classic card game to play with your friends? Join fellow players for Euchre Night on Wednesday, November 3 starting at 6:30 pm. Games are open to beginners or experts.

Work on your strategic thinking by practicing Chess with chess master Paul Sherwood on Saturday, November 6 starting at 10 am. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.

The Teen Cooking Challenge is back at the Library this fall! This popular program for Grades 7 - 12 continues with a new, delicious recipe to try at home. Pick up a kit on Wednesday, November 10. Register fast because supplies are limited.

Help your neighbors before the holidays and lower your late fees! Food for Fines begins on Saturday, November 13 and goes until Saturday, November 20. Fines for an overdue Huron Public Library item or fine will be waived in exchange for each non-perishable donation.
