  1.  Today’s lunch is Mac & Cheese.


  1. Please join us for the 12th Annual “Pink Out”.   It will be a home football game on Friday, October 6th vs. the Vermilion Sailors.  Place an order for a “pink out” shirt or hoodie on line at Lucky Stone.  Order forms are also available in the office and must be returned to Lucky Stone.  By purchasing this apparel, you are joining the effort to make breast cancer go from deadly to treatable and from treatable to preventable!  All proceeds go to The Piggyback Foundation.  Order deadline is OCTOBER 2nd.


  1. The Huron High School Student Council is organizing a fundraiser for Senior Meg Krafty who is battling a medical condition.  If you would like to participate in the fundraiser to support Meg, you can order a #MegStrong t-shirt.  Order forms are in the office.  All proceeds will be donated to her family.  Shirts are encouraged to be worn at the Huron vs. Clyde football game on Friday, October 13.


  1. Any 8th grade student council member or honor society member who wants to run for office should email Mrs. Rowen by the end of the week.


  1. Today's spirit week theme is western day.  Thursday's spirit week theme is jersey day or Huron Tiger gear.

Currently Mrs. Hamrock's homeroom is in the lead for 6th grade

Mrs. Brown's homeroom is in the lead for 7th grade.

Mrs. Rowen's homeroom is currently in the lead for 8th grade.


  1. Today the following students will be recycling during 8th grade study hall: Isabella Smith, Brynn Dennis, and Sami Chinn.  Any staff member who would like their recycling boxes emptied, please put them by your door so they have time to get to every classroom.


  1. McCormick Students should surprise others by performing random acts of kindness. Go out of your way to do something surprisingly kind and generous for someone. You should make an effort to do things like this at least once a week.


  1. Look for common ground. All of us know people who disagree with us on just about everything. You have conflicting views on politics, music and pizza. Instead of dreading another conversation with them, try seeing things from their point of view. We’re not saying you have to become BFFs, but keep your cool and

 keep it friendly.
