1. Presale tickets for tonight's varsity football at Perkins are on sale in the HHS office. Presale price is $5.00 and all tickets at the gate will be $7.00.
Perkins only has one ticket booth open at the gate so avoid the long line and buy your ticket today. Presale will end at 2:30pm on Friday.
2. Ripcho Studio is at HHS today to photograph grades 9-11 for the yearbook. Extra order forms are available in the high school office.
3. Attention anyone wanting to be a part of the Huron High School yearbook staff. Please see Mrs. Lee by Wednesday, Sept. 22 to get signed up.
4. Forms to order a t-shirt for "A Crucial Catch" for the Oak Harbor football game are available in the high school office. The forms are due to Lucky Stone on Tuesday, 9/21.
5. Attention all Seniors in good standing: You can apply to work the polls on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2. It is a long work day, but you would get paid $115 if accepted. Please see Mrs. Merckens in room 214 for an application and with any questions. Applications are due today.
6. The Student Union is closed periods 6 & 7. If you have a study hall during these periods please report to the cafeteria.
7. The Huron Parks & Recreation Department is looking for volunteers for the 2021 Pumpkin Festival which will be held October 9th. Volunteers help with children activities, games and pumpkin painting and earn volunteer hours. If you are interested, stop into the high school office to pick up a volunteer form from Huron Parks & Rec.
8. The yearbook is holding a cover design contest for any high school student interested. The theme this year is "Welcome to the Jungle." The only guidelines are that "Huron High School", "2021-2022", and "Welcome to the Jungle" are all included within the cover design. Winner will receive a free yearbook and also be credited with the cover design. Honorable mention designs will also be included throughout the book. Deadline is Monday, September 20. To turn in, please see Mrs. Lee.
9. Huron High School's Homecoming Dance will be held Saturday, September 25th, 8-10 pm at Woodlands Elementary School. Tickets are $10 and will go on sale NEXT WEEK during lunch. If you are bringing someone who does not attend HHS you must turn in a guest form when purchasing the tickets. Guest forms include emergency medical information and need to be signed by the guest's parent and their principal. Guest forms are available outside the high school office. All tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door.
10. Attention all students: Next week is Spirit Week. Show your school spirit by following this year's themes. They are: 'Merica Monday, Texas Tuesday, Sports Team Wednesday, Throwback Thursday and Tiger Spirit Friday.
