1. Any Junior or Senior interested in becoming a member of the Ohio Model United Nations Club, there will be a brief meeting today at 2:30 in Mr. Schaefer's room 210.
2. The yearbook is holding a cover design contest for any high school student interested. The theme this year is "Welcome to the Jungle." The only guidelines are that "Huron High School", "2021-2022", and "Welcome to the Jungle" are all included within the cover design. Winner will receive a free yearbook and also be credited with the cover design. Honorable mention designs will also be included throughout the book. Deadline is Monday, September 20. To turn in, please see Mrs. Lee.
3. The Huron Athletic Booster Club is looking for 4 High School students to sell our athletic program for all home varsity football games. We are also looking for 2 -50/50 sellers to volunteer in the booster tent. All program sellers will need to arrive between 5:30/6pm and will sell for the 1st quarter. After the first quarter you can head up to the student section. Volunteers will each receive an all sports pass for 2021/22 and dinner in concession. Contact Amy Springer at 419-602-0818 if you are interested. This is an easy and fun way to earn community service hours as well. Thank you and Go Tigers!
4. A representative from the Army will be in the cafeteria during lunches today. Stop by their table if you'd like to learn more about what they have to offer.
5. Parking tags for the 21-22 school year are still on sale in the high school office. Cost is $5.
6. Attention all Seniors in good standing: You can apply to work the polls on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2. It is a long work day, but you would get paid $115 if accepted. Please see Mrs. Merckens in room 214 for an application and with any questions. Applications are due back by Friday, Sept. 17.
7. Ripcho Studio will be at HHS on Friday, 9/17, at the start of first period to photograph grades 9-11 for the yearbook. Picture forms are to be handed out during homeroom today. Extra forms will be available in the high school office.
