WIS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good morning today is Monday, March 13, 2023

The lunch menu for today students will have the choice of Hamburger or a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. You also have the choice of any two or more of Sweet Potato Fries, Fresh Orange Quarters and Milk

Let’s keep Rachel’s Challenge alive. Make sure you are journaling regularly, accepting others and doing kind acts. Make sure you recognize those students that do kind acts by completing a chain link for them.

Our value word for the week is: Conservation - the act of conserving; prevention of injury, decay, waste, or loss

John James Audubon once said, “A true conservationist is a man who knows that the world is not given by his fathers, but borrowed from his children.

Woodlands students respect the opinion of others whether they agree with the other person or not. During a discussion, you should respect the other students’ comments, opinions, and ideas. Listen to their thoughts attentively and do not interrupt until they have finished their entire thought. Then when possible you can make statements like, “I agree with you, and I also feel that…” or “You made a valid point but I disagree with you because...” or “I feel you made an excellent observation and it made me realize…” At no time do Woodland Students put down or make fun of another student for their opinion, thought or idea that they share.

The PTO’s Mally’s Chocolate Bars fundraiser forms and money are due this Wednesday, March 15.

Any 6th grade student interested in trying out for cheerleading next year you can get information outside the office on the counter.  Tryouts for incoming 7th and 8th graders will be Tuesday, March 14th at HHS gymnasium starting at 4:30pm.  Any questions, please contact coach Janet at 419-366-1787
