News: Information RE: (Open House, Supply Drop-off, Staggered Start ) - 1st Through 5th Grade

Staggered Start Information

The start of the 2023-24 school year presents new opportunities with our building consolidation. To help foster a successful start, we will be implementing a staggered start. Students in 1st through 5th grade will start in two waves to allow each group to attend school for one day with a smaller number of students. This helps our students and staff make strong connections, build relationships, and learn the routines and procedures for the school year. Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we strive to provide our students with the safest and best educational environment.

Aug 23, 2023 (Wed): Only Students with the Last Name starting A-L* attend

Aug 24, 2023 (Thu): Only Students with the last name starting M-Z* attend

Aug 25, 2023 (Fri): ALL STUDENTS attend on 8/25 and moving forward

Open House

Open House/Supply Drop Off is right around the corner! Can you feel the excitement? Open House will be Monday, August 21st. In an effort to maximize our time with parents/guardians, we are asking that you sign-up for a designated time to attend.

The homeroom assignment will be released on Wednesday, August 16th, at our back-to-school celebration at the Huron Boat Basin (6:00p-7:30p) and posted at Woodlands. (You will be able to schedule your open house time on/after the 16th when you know your child’s homeroom teacher)

To schedule a time for the open house, follow the directions below:

1. Go to Woodlands website:

2. Click on your child’s homeroom teacher’s name

3. Complete the scheduling form

Supply Drop-Off (Grades 1st-5th only)

To maximize our time during the open house, we are having a supply drop-off for 1st through 5th grade. This will be a drive-through and you will not be entering Woodlands. Please find your grade level below and follow the directions.

When: Friday, August 18th (8:00a-3:00p) & Monday, August 21st (8:00a-3:00p)

Where: Front entrance of Woodlands.

Please drop your child’s supplies off in a bag marked with your child’s name and homeroom. There will be a designated container around the enter/exit doors that is clearly marked with your child’s teacher's name.
