Our value word for the week is:  Citizenship -  the character of an individual viewed as a member of society; behavior in terms of the duties, obligations, and functions of a citizen.

John F. Kennedy once said, “My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

Woodlands Students are polite. Woodlands Students always say thank you when they are given something or someone else does something for you. You should always show others that you appreciate what they do for you. Whether it is when you are handed a cookie in the lunch line, or if someone holds the door for you, or you are given a treat to celebrate someone’s birthday, you should always say thank you.

The lost and found is full.  If you are missing items please stop by the lost and found and claim the items that are yours. All the items hanging in the front entrance on the coat racks along with those in the lost and found bin are items in our lost and found. Please stop and look to see if any of the items are yours.

For any 6th graders interested in playing football next season, there will be a skills camp on Thursday 4/20 from 3:15-4:15 PM in the large grass area in front of Woodlands School.  Come meet your football coaches and some of the high school players as you start working on your football skills.

Today students are reminded that during testing they are not allowed to have communication devices on them.  This includes watches. If you have a phone or watch that has the ability to communicate it needs to be placed in your locker during testing. During the testing period bells will be turned off and students are expected to travel through the hallways quietly respecting those students that are taking their test.  Today students in grades 3 and 4 will be completing the ELA Part 1 test.

6th Grade Students interested in information about CCP classes next year, Mrs. Taraschke from McCormick will be here Friday afternoon to meet with you.
