  1. Today’s lunch is Chicken Tenders.

 

  1. There will be no more charging in the cafeteria. No exceptions.  Please make sure your lunch account is paid.

 

  1. 8th grade band and choir students are to report to the auditorium today. Make sure you bring study materials with you.  Students will need to sit at least a seat apart.

 

  1. Student Council would like to thank all students who participated in the coloring contest. Please stop by Mrs. Rowen's room - 208 to pick up your prizeCongratulations to the following students: 
  • 6th grade: Mary Snook, Helen Thaxton, and Sasha Dresser
  • 7th grade: Mallorie Dowell, Malayia Taylor, and Jayden Budka
  • 8th grade: Kendra Bronner, Mercedes Fox, and Alexis Fox

  1. The following students are recycling today: Blaire Johnson and Lauren LaCivita. Please see Mrs. Rowen after lunch for a pass.

  2. For those 6th and 7th graders who are running for Student Council for the 2024-2025 school year, please return your forms to the office by the end of the day today. Remember you are not to get a teacher signature. Mrs. Rowen will collect all forms and meet with each grade level. See Mrs. Rowen if you have any questions.

 

  1. Both 6th Grade Girls Groups and 6th Grade BROX will meet on Friday, May 10 during 3rd period. 7th Grade ROX will meet during 1st period on Thursday, May 9.  8th Grade ROX will meet during 2nd period on Thursday, May 9.

 

  1. There is a signup sheet in the office for 8th grade boys interested in playing soccer next year.

 

  1. There will be a meeting today at 2:00pm for 8th grade girls interested in golf next year.  Please wait to be called down.

  3. There will be a meeting for any 8th grader interested in running cross country next season in Miss Dunn's room on Friday during study hall.

  4. Students that are waiting to enter the cafeteria for lunch must remain in line and stay to the right hand side of the hallway allowing those students and staff room to get by.

  5. McCormick Students are polite. McCormick Students always say thank you when they are given something or someone else does something for you. You should always show others that you appreciate what they do for you. Whether it is when you are handed a cookie in the lunch line, or if someone holds the door for you, you should always say thank you.

  6. McCormick students when you receive something from someone, do not insult the gift or the giver, always show appreciation. 

 

  1. Make sure you are exhibiting the skills of Positive Communication, Positive Group/Team Work, Being to class on Time, Problem Solving, Questioning and Reflecting, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Listening, and Empathy for a chance to earn a ticket for the end of the quarter rewards.  We will be giving away some great prizes.

  2. Stay in the Game - keep coming to school and make sure you are working hard to be the best me you can be.
