1. Congratulations to Mr. Wood's 5th period class who amassed 362
consecutive digits of Pi to win the Pi Day Challenge. The class will
receive pies on Wednesday next week.
2.
The Air Force National Guard will be visiting today during lunch. Stop
by their table to see what they might have to offer you.
3. Attention all students going on the European trip with Mrs. Arambula and
Ms. Ryan: The books for your next fundraiser are in, please see Mrs.
Arambula or Ms. Ryan to pick up the books and get the information you
need for your trip this summer.
4. The deadline to turn in two important items is April 1st, however, we will be on Spring break at that time so you must have these in by March 24th to meet the deadline.
College Credit Plus intent to participate forms - last year they were accepted late - there is NO late deadline allowance this year!
Credit Flex programs - If you are planning on participating, you must have your completed plan turned in to Mr Matheny by April 1st. There is no late deadline for Credit Flex programs.
If you complete either item after we leave for Spring break on March 24th, they must be mailed and postmarked no later than April 1 to be accepted.
5. Community Service Opportunity: Any students interested in volunteering
at the Huron Chamber of Commerce with clerical/office duties should
contact the Director, Mrs. Amy Roldan at 419-433-5700.
6. New scholarships available in guidance office:
AUGUST & ARLENE MILLER 4-H MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP –$1,000 scholarship award available to students who
are current Erie County 4-H members and a graduating high school senior
planning to attend a post-secondary college or institution in the fall. More information and applications are
available in the Guidance office. DEADLINE APRIL 30, 2016.
EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT ASSOCIATION – Scholarship award of $750 available to a graduating
senior with high personal standards and qualities wishing to pursue a career in
aviation or aerospace. Stop into
the Guidance office for more information.

7. Leadership
Erie County is doing project "Happy Feet" . They are collecting funds
to purchase new shoes for an identified 64 adults in need &
collecting socks for the homeless - any size. Donations may be placed
in the shoe box located in the high school office. Checks can be made
out to Leadership Erie County. The deadline to donate is Wednesday, March 16th. Thank you for making a difference!
