WIS ANNOUNCEMENTS 


Good morning today is Friday, March 12, 2021

    


The lunch menu for today is: Students will have the choice of General Tso Chicken or a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. Students will also receive Buttered Rice, Green Peas, Egg Roll and  Mandarin Oranges and Milk.


  

Let’s keep Rachel’s Challenge alive. Make sure you are journaling regularly, accepting others and doing kind acts. Make sure you recognize those students that do kind acts by completing a chain link for them. KCR-24/7-365



Our value word for the week is: Patience - the quality of being patient: the ability to remain calm and not become annoyed when dealing with problems or with difficult people 



Bruce Lee once said, “Patience is not passive, on the contrary, it is concentrated strength.



The Woodlands Way - Positive Actions, Accepting K-C-R, Working to Succeed, and Stay Safe. Let’s make sure all our decisions are centered around the Woodlands Way.  



Students, we only have2 more weeks left in the 3rd quarter. Make sure all your work is completed.  If you are not sure check your progressbook or ask your teachers.  



Any student wishing to order a yearbook, they are still available by ordering online.  Information is available outside the office.



There are many items in the  lost and found. Please stop and claim items that you are missing.  



The Huron Public Library is now open! Please visit huronlibrary.org to find current safety regulations and services being offered, as well as temporary operating hours. Masks must be worn properly in the building. 


CALLING ALL ARTISTS/PHOTOGRAPHERS: The Library wants YOU to share your artwork or photography in our Online Community Art Gallery. Visit the Library's virtual Gallery space on huronlibrary.org to view art and photography shared by your community, then share your own by emailing photos to [email protected]. All ages can participate. 


Help out your community by donating food to those in need. The Library is collecting nonperishable, unexpired food items for our Pay It Forward Food Drive to give to the Huron Food Pantry. If you have food items at home that you'd like to donate, visit the Library and find our drop off box located near the entrance. 


Kindergarten - Grade 6 can stop by the Library on Wednesday, March 24 to grab the next STEAM Team on the Go Kit. This kit features some cool experiments involving Cereal Science. Register on our website. 


Are you in Grade 3 - 6? Do you enjoy reading and discussing fun books with others? Check out the Rockin' Readers Book Club that meets monthly to discuss some cool books for tweens. Grab the March book from the Library today and join in on the next meeting on Thursday, March 25 at 5 pm on Zoom.
