Announcements - Thursday, September 17, 2020

1.  On September 17, 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document they had created.    We encourage all Americans to observe this important day in our nation's history by attending local events in your area. Celebrate Constitution Day through activities, learning, parades and demonstrations of our Love for the United State of America and the Blessings of Freedom Our Founding Fathers secured for us.

2.  Attention all Student Council members:  Please sign-up to be on a homecoming committee. Sign up sheet is on Mrs. Sadowski's door room 201.
3.  Any junior or senior interested in becoming a member of Model United Nations please stop by Mr. Schaefer's room 210 during school hours for an informational handout.
4.  Seniors please return all poll work applications to Mrs. Merckens this week.

5.  Reminder to students please return technology forms to the high school office.

6.  Attention all artistic students: The Yearbook Club is putting on a cover contest for the 2020-2021 yearbook. This year's theme will be "Living Our Best [covid] Life". The idea behind the theme is that we as a school community are doing everything we can to make the best out of the setbacks and challenges that we have this school year. If interested, please design your interpretation of what it means for the Huron Tigers to be "living our best life" this year. The winning design will appear on the cover of the 2020-2021 yearbook, and the winner will receive a free yearbook. Designs are due to Mrs. Lee by Friday, September 25.

7.  Students please remember to accept the invitation from SCOIR through your huronstudent email account.
8.  Parking tags are still on sale in the high school office for $5.  You need to purchase a new one each year.
9.  Ripcho Studio will be at HHS to photograph underclassmen (grades 9-11) this Friday, September 18th, for the "gray" group and then returning on Thursday, September 24th, for the "red" group.  Extras order forms are available in the high school office.

For those attending Virtual Academy, you may come in either day to have your picture taken.  Please be sure to wear a mask in the building.

10. The Huron Public Library is currently closed to the public, but we are offering Curbside Pickup. Visit our website to order books, DVDs, or CDs and then drive or walk by the Library to pick them up.
