1.  Two art students recently received the highest honors from Erie MetroParks Endangered Species Art Contest! 
Congratulations to:
1st  Place Winner- Maya Vance, for White Charcoal drawing of a Sandhill Crane on black paper.
 
 Best Overall- Thomas Murray for a  Pastels drawing of a Kirtland’s Warbler on colored paper.
 (TJ is the only piece of art out of 219 entries to receive a perfect score from all 6 judges!)

They will be honored on Saturday by Erie Metro Parks Earth Day Extravaganza!

2.  A BGSU advisor will be available today from 830-12 in the Counseling Office. If you are planning to take a  CCP class OFF-CAMPUS next school year, including online, and have not met with your advisor, please stop in and reserve a meeting time.

3.   This Saturday, we host the Huron Track Invite. This is a reminder to all students, please DO NOT park in the handicap spots on either side of the stadium.

4.  Attention new National Honor Society members:  The next NHS meeting will be held on Monday, April 25th after school in the Union.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Arambula. 

5.  Anyone interested in signing up for TLC next year needs to fill out an application and return it to Mrs. Lee by Monday, April 25. Pick up an application in the guidance office or in Mrs. Lee's room, room 216. 

6.  Attention any senior that did not submit a senior photo for the yearbook!! Free headshots will be taken today from 11:40-12:40 (5b-c). Mrs. Lee will be set up outside by the flagpole. 

7.  A representative from the Riverfest will be in the cafeteria during lunch on Monday, April 25, looking for girls interested in participating in the pageant.  Stop by their table with any questions.

8.  The National Honor Society is selling wristbands in honor of Everyone's Mom.  All proceeds will go towards creating a giving closet at our school. If you wish to purchase a wristband they are $1 each and you can purchase them during lunches or in Mrs. Arambula's room. 

9.  Attention Seniors: Senior superlative voting is now open. Seniors, please check your final forms email for the link to the survey. Voting will close on Monday, May 2.  

10.  From the Huron Public Library:
Calling all poetry enthusiasts living or working in the 44839 zip code! Submissions for this year's 44839: Poetry Contest will be accepted until the end of May and select winners have a chance to receive cash prizes and get their poems published in the next volume of the 44839: Poetry from a Zip Code anthology. Find full rules for submission on huronlibrary.org.

Have you always wanted your books to be a little more...exciting? Check out a NEW Teen Book Box full of items to enhance your reading experience. Pick your book and then take it to the Circulation Desk to receive a box full of goodies associated with various parts of the story. The best part is, you return the book and the box and keep the rest! Find book selections in the YA area of the Library today. For Grades
9 - 12.

If you completed a Tiny Art Show Kit in January, or if you just like looking at local art, you can stop by to view the full Tiny Art Show in the Library during April. Find the display in the main lobby and front entrance display case all month long.

Play some Chess at the Library with chess master Paul Sherwood on Sunday, April 24 at 
6pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.
