1. Parent-Teacher Conferences are Thursday, March 3rd from 3:00-7:00pm. Parents should call the office to schedule a conference time.

2. This Friday, our Future Friday presenter will be Ashley Franks, Epidemiologist for Erie County. Please wait to be called down to the auditorium.

3. We will have STEAM Club Friday in Mr. Haplea’s room. New members are welcome. We meet from 2:45-4:15. See you there!

4. Reminder: There is a scheduled 2 hour delay this Wednesday.

5. From the students and staff at McCormick, we want to thank Mrs. Rowen, Mr. Maleski, Mrs. Taraske, and Mrs. James for the fantastic mental health day that you planned. It took a lot of your time to pull the day together for us, and we appreciate it. Everyone learned some ways to help improve their mental health. Thank you Coach Lemponen and Officer Lobsinger for participating in the day. We appreciate it!

6. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
The Huron Public Library will be expanding hours beginning on Monday, February 28 to be open later during the week and on Sundays! New operating hours will be: Monday- Thursday 9:30am-7:30pm, Friday, 9:30am-5pm, Saturday 9:30am-2pm, and Sunday 1pm-5pm. Please check the Library's website and social media pages for updates.

Join the next Teen Library Council monthly meeting on Zoom on Monday, February 28 at 4pm to share your ideas to improve the Library and the community. Visit huronlibrary.org for all the details.

Love writing poetry? Students in Grades 7-12 are invited to submit poems in our Teen Poetry Contest for a chance to be published in the next volume of 44839: Poetry From a Zip Code, a local poetry book created annually. Submit poems at the main Circulation Desk or email poems to [email protected]. Submit entries by Monday, March 21.

Or perhaps you want a more thoughtful activity? Work on your strategic thinking by practicing Chess with chess master Paul Sherwood on Saturday, March 5 starting at 10am. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.
