  • Today’s lunch is Fiestada Pizza.
  • Today marks the end of the second quarter.  Please make sure fees are paid and overdue library books are returned to avoid your grade card from being withheld.  Grade cards will be distributed during homeroom next Friday. 
  • Monday begins 3rd quarter.  Make sure you know your third quarter elective.  7thGrade – If you have PLTW, Monday you will begin Gym and vice versa.  8th Grade – If you have Health, Monday you will begin Art and vice versa.

  • The 7th grade girls team beat Edison last night 23-18.  Adelyn VanSickle had 7 points in the win.  and Lizzie Perin contributed 4 points in the win.  The 7th graders are now 4 and 4 for the year.
    The 8th grade girls team lost a close game to Edison last night.  28-34.  Jenna Cox had 11 and Chloe Shaw nailed 2 free throws to contribute to the effort.

 

  • FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:

Kick off the New Year with a fresh perspective and pass on some kindness! Stop by the Library between Monday, January 2 and Saturday, January 7 to pick from an array of random acts of kindness from the Kindness Campaign display to help spread a little extra kindness in the community. All ages can participate.

 

Have you participated in a previous Girls Who Code program? Join the Girls Who Code Coding Ambassador Program to help new members learn about coding in a positive environment. Attendance of every session is not required, but is highly encouraged. Registration required.

 

If you prefer a more strategic game, play some Chess at the Library with chess master Paul Sherwood on Saturday, January 7 at 10 am. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.
