Ready for our 2nd STEAM Club meeting? Even if you didn't make the first meeting, you are welcome to come today from 2:30-4:00 pm. We meet in Mr. Haplea's room. See you there!
7th and 8th Grade boys basketball tryouts will be Monday, November 4 and Tuesday, November 5 at Woodlands. Please plan your own transportation. Coaches will not be able to drive players. 8th Grade will be 2:45pm-4:10pm. 7th Grade will be 4:10pm-5:20pm. Please make sure you have a physical on file. See Mr. Miller or Mr. Demos with any questions.
Student Council members, your t-shirt money is due to Mrs. Rowen by November 8th.
Remember that McCormick's Junior Honor Society is collecting donations for the Sandusky Veterans home through November 8th. Items will be delivered for Veterans Day. Please help if you can.
In honor of veterans day on Nov. 11th, we will read a fact each day until then:
November 1919, President Wilson proclaimed November 11 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day, now known as Veterans Day.
McCormick students respect the opinion of others whether they agree with the other person or not. During a discussion, you should respect the other students’ comments, opinions, and ideas. Listen to their thoughts attentively and do not interrupt until they have finished their entire thought. At no time do McCormick Students put down or make fun of another student for their opinion, thought or idea that they share.
Around 8:00 today we will be conducting an evacuation drill. On the PA system we will announce for all students and staff to evacuate the building. The back exit of the building can not be used. All staff and students will need to evacuate using the front and side entrances. We may be outside for an extended period as the high school state cross country runners will be parading by the school. Please get your coat or sweatshirt prior to the start of the drill. Once the parade has gone by and the send off is complete we will enter the building.
Be sure to set your goals for the second quarter now, tomorrow is too late. Include your steps you are going to take to get there. The first step of being the best me I can be.
