If you did not like your pictures, bring the pictures with you on October 16th to give to the photographer so you may have your picture re-taken. Order forms are available in the office if you need one.

5. Power of the Pen writers! We had a great first meeting during the lunch/study hall hour on Thursday. We will meet this week after school on Friday, in Mrs. Aber's room, from 2:40 - 3:45. I hope even more of those interested will be there. We have a terrific and fun team shaping up.

6. The children’s butterfly garden project is hosting a weeding party this Wednesday from 3:45-5pm at the children’s butterfly garden at Woodlands. Garden supplies, refreshments and community service hours will be provided. Volunteers please bring a pumpkin donation.

7. This week at the Huron Public Library:
October is Teen Celebration Month at the Huron Public Library! In honor of this celebration, teens can check out a new activity each week after school in the YA area of the Library. The third week of October features Nostalgic Cartoons. Stop by after school to catch up on some old shows that you wish were still on TV!

TOMORROW is another Library Life Hack Challenge! At 3:30 in the YA area, teens can come to the Library to watch some videos of common life hacks and then try them out in real life to see if they actually work.

If strategy and thought is more your style, come to our Chess meeting on TOMORROW from 6 - 7:30 pm. Join a master chess player to learn the game or to brush up on your chess skills.

For those students that are registered for the Girls Who Code Coding Club, the next meeting is Thursday, October 17 from 4 - 5:30 pm.

Finally, if you are a teen in grades 7 through 12 and you are interested in making changes at your Library, give the Teen Library Council a try! The next meeting is on Sunday, October 20 at 3 pm.
