1. Are you and your parents taking extra days off at Christmas? A vacation form needs to be submitted to the office prior to the absence so that Mr. Carter can approve the absence.

2. Don’t forget to bring in chemo care package items to your homeroom class before December 18th! Items to bring are listed in each class, and the winning homeroom in both grades wins a party after Christmas break. Let’s help raise the spirits of children battling cancer this holiday season! If any questions, contact Mr. Sellers, Mrs. Schuh, or Abi Miller.

3. Help us spread happiness this Christmas by being a part of OHgo’s Project Happy Christmas. Please join us in purchasing, filling and wrapping one shoebox for a local child in need. Informational brochures are available in the office. Shoeboxes are due by December 17th.

4. Students involved in the coding club with Mrs. LaCrosse should meet this Friday during lunch. Make sure to get your lunch and go directly to her room this Friday for coding Club.

5. Power of the Pen will meet Friday after school in Mrs. Aber’s room from 2:40-3:45.

6. This Friday, Joe Lamb, Great Lakes Ferry Boat Captain, will be our Future Friday’s presenter. Please wait to be called to the auditorium.

7. STEAM Club will meet Wednesday, December 11, from 2:45-4:15 in Mrs. James's room. Coding, Augmented Reality, and Winter Art options will be ready for you! Bring a pal!

9. This week at the Huron Public Library:
Want to give back this holiday season? Come to the Huron Public Library and visit our Greetings of Gratitude table where you can write a holiday card to a veteran serviceman or women. We provide the cards, envelopes, and addresses. All you have to do is write a quick note to make a veteran's holiday.

Reminder: The Girls Who Code Coding Club meets on Thursday, December 5th from 4-5:30pm. This will be the last session before the final GWC party next week!

Looking for a great gift this holiday season? We have you covered! The Library will be having a Book Sale from Friday, December 6th to Sunday, December 8th. All books are less than 3 dollars and most of them are only 1 dollar. Stop by and find some great books, movies, or CDs for everyone on your holiday shopping list!

Finally, don't forget to stop by and say "hi" on Saturday, December 7th during Huron's Winterfest for the Library's Holiday Open House. We will have music, entertainment, food, and (most importantly) a warm building to take a break in!
