1. Attention Student Council members, please check google classroom for the latest updates. See Mrs. Rowen if you have any questions.

2. Attention 8th grade Honor Society members: TODAY immediately after your lunch and before your go upstairs to study hall: Meeting for 8th grade McCormick Junior Honor Society members - not the new ones, but those who became members in September. We have some work to do and decisions to make. Please come to Mrs. Aber's room, 104.

3. Football cheer clinics and tryouts will be held March 8th through March 10th. Anyone interested in tryouts, please pick up packets in the office this week.

4. The Freshman Football Lifting Orientation will be at the Huron High School cafeteria on Tuesday, March 9th at 7PM for any 8th graders interested in playing football next year. Please wear a mask and bring a parent to the meeting.

5. Reminder to students participating in track: T-shirt orders need to be placed by Friday, March 12th. Current sports physicals must be turned in prior to March 15th. See Mr. Sellers if you have questions.

6. 2020-2021 Yearbook order forms have been handed out. Orders can be placed by returning the form with payment to Mr. Maleski or order online at JOSTENSYEARBOOKS.COM. Orders must be submitted by March 31, 2021.

7. Huron Baseball/Softball Program registration forms and information packets are in the office. If interested in playing, please stop in the office and pick one up.

8. Are you and your parents taking extra time off during Spring Break? A vacation form needs to be submitted to the office prior to the absence so that Mr. Carter can approve the absence.

10. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
The Huron Public Library is open to the public again! This time, you don't need an appointment to come in, so we hope to see you soon. Please remember to follow our safety guidelines. Masks must be worn properly over mouths AND noses in the building.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS/PHOTOGRAPHERS: The Library wants YOU to share your artwork or photography in our Online Community Art Gallery. Visit the Library's virtual Gallery space on huronlibrary.org to view art and photography shared by your community, then share your own by emailing photos to [email protected]. All ages can participate.

Help out your community by donating food to those in need. The Library is collecting nonperishable, unexpired food items for our Pay It Forward Food Drive to give to the Huron Food Pantry. If you have food items at home that you'd like to donate, visit the Library and find our drop off box located near the entrance.

For those that love to draw or doodle, check out our Zentangle with Judy Montgomery program on Tuesday, March 9 from 5 - 7 pm LIVE on Zoom. Starting in March, interested participants can pick up some free supplies for this class, and then join Judy Montgomery in a LIVE Zoom session to learn about this unique, therapeutic art form. This program is open to teens and adults. Register on our website.

Looking for a way to extend those spooky winter vibes? Join us for our next Facebook Watch Party featuring the 1922 version of the film Nosferatu. This classic horror movie proves that you don't need sound or color to get creeped out. Learn some behind-the-scenes facts about the film and join us in our LIVE chat on Thursday, March 11 starting at 5 pm.
