1. Ripcho Studios will be here October 16th for picture retakes. If you were absent on picture day in September, plan to have your picture taken. If you did not like your pictures, bring the pictures with you on October 16th to give to the photographer so you may have your picture re-taken. Order forms are available in the office if you need one.

2. Run the 4th race in Huron's "We Run This Town" race series.
St Peter School Spooktacular 5K registrations can be picked up in the office or from Mrs. James. Register by October 10th to receive a t-shirt. Costumes are welcome and there will be lots of prizes and great food!

3. There will be basketball cheer tryouts for those interested on Tuesday, October 29th through Thursday, October 31st. Tryouts will be held at Shawnee Elementary. Cheer packets will be available for pick up in the office starting on October 21st. All forms must be completed prior to tryouts.

4. Parent Teacher Conferences are Tuesday, October 8th from 3:00pm-6:00pm and Thursday, October 17th from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Parents are reminded to call the office to schedule a conference time.

5. There will be a student Council meeting today during 8th grade lunch in Mrs. Rowen's room.

6. The children’s butterfly garden project is hosting a weeding party this Wednesday, Oct 9, 3:45 - 5pm at the children’s butterfly garden at Woodlands. Garden supplies, refreshments and community service hours will be provided.

7. This week at the Huron Public Library:
October is Teen Celebration Month at the Huron Public Library! In honor of this celebration, teens can check out a new activity each week after school in the YA area of the Library. The second week of October features Pokemon GO! Stop by after school to meetup with other Pokemon fans or to hit up the Library Pokestop.

Tuesday, October 7 is Game Night at the Library. Beginning at 6 pm, Matt Morgan will lead the game Wizard School. As monsters pile up at the school, players can use magic abilities to try to graduate and stay alive! For ages 12 and up. No registration required.

For those students that are registered for the Girls Who Code Coding Club, the next meeting is Thursday, October 10 from 4 pm - 5:30 pm.

On Saturday, October 12, look for the Library staff in the pumpkin painting tent at this year's Pumpkin Festival at the Huron Boat Basin. Even if you are too old to paint a pumpkin, stop by and say hello! The festival goes from 11 am - 5 pm and we hope to see you there.
