1. Welcome to your first day to the 2019-2020 school year. During today’s extended period in homerooms, you will be assigned a locker and will practice using the combination lock. A staff member will come by each homeroom and pick up money and notes for the office. Your homeroom teacher will go over several important things about life here at McCormick.

In a few minutes, 8th graders will be called to the auditorium for a short assembly.  Mrs. Ritter and I will meet you there and we will review a few things and answer questions.  At the completion of both grade level assemblies and the homeroom period, the bell will ring and students will travel to their first period class.

Teachers!  Please take attendance during homeroom period.

2. McCormick Junior Honor Society – There will be a meeting for all members during 8th grade study hall on Thursday, August 29th. Please report directly to Mrs. Aber’s room.

3. The first school dance will be Friday, September 6th from 2:45-4:30. Tickets will be sold for $6.00 during lunch next week.
