Announcements - Monday, 9/16/19

1.  This week is Homecoming and Spirit Week!  The dance will be held Saturday, 9/21, from 8-10pm at Woodlands School.  Dance tickets will be sold Tuesday - Friday during lunch.  Tickets are $10 each. 

2.  Steve Maraboli states,  "Take accountability... Blame is the water in which many dreams and relationships drown."  The Huron Tiger Core Value for the month of September is accountability.  If you are always accountable for your actions and do what you say you are going to do, you could be a Core Value nominee.  

3.  We have extra yearbooks from the 2019 school year for sale in the high school office.  The cost is $65. 

4.  On Tuesday, 9/17, Ripcho Studio will be at our building to take pictures of the underclassmen (grades 9-11) first thing in the morning.  Order forms are being handed out today.  Please be sure to bring this form back with you on picture day if you would like to place an order.  Extra forms will be available in the high school office.

Along with picture day, we will have vision and hearing checks for all freshman, juniors and all new students.  Please be sure to bring or wear any prescription eyewear.

5.  Community Service Hours Opportunity:  Student tour guides and ambassadors are needed for Friday, September 20 from 4:00 - 7:00pm at HHS.  Any students interested should stop in the office and see Mr. Antonelli ASAP.  Go Tigers.

6.  Seniors - Please log into Naviance and complete the HHS Brag sheet.  Stop in the Counseling office and sign up for your individual senior meeting.  Plan for about 30-45 minutes.

Also Seniors log into your Naviance account to schedule a time for upcoming college visits and also the new scholarship opportunities that have been added.

7.  Join us for the 8th annual "pink out" in support of the Piggyback Foundation. on October 11 at the home football game versus Oak Harbor.  Order forms are available in the high school office or at Lucky Stone.

Also, Huron Tigers Football team theme scholarship apparel is on sale now.  Order forms are available in the high school office or at Lucky Stone.

8.  News from the Huron Public Library:

Looking for a way to exercise your brain? Come to the Huron Public Library on Tuesday, September 17 from 6 - 7 pm to play some Chess.  For those that would like a more fast-paced game, the Library is hosting Euchre Night on Wednesday, September 18 beginning at 6:30 pm. New or experienced players are welcome and no registration is necessary.

Reminder to our Battle of the Books participants: There will be another practice session on Thursday, September 19 at 4:30 pm.
