1. Parent Teacher Conferences are Thursday, October 8th from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Parents are reminded to call the office to schedule a conference time.

2. Mrs. Rowen will be meeting with any 7th and 8th grader who is interested in running for student council this Thursday and Friday at the beginning of study hall. Students should report to study hall and notify their teacher before reporting to the auditorium.

3. McCormick Jr. Honor Society members are reminded that today is the last day to express your interest in running for a Red or Gray officer spot. Send an email to Mrs. Aber with your name and office you are interested in filling. Voting will be Friday/Tuesday (Gray/Red).

4. 7th and 8th graders...LISTEN UP! The STEAM Club is starting next week. This club has awesome projects based in science, technology, engineering, art, and math! We meet after school and want YOU to join us. You will build, create, use robots, drones, and explore many different materials. So, if you are even a little interested in seeing how fun this club is, listen for the announcement during study hall today to come to the auditorium to sign up and hear about our first art-based meeting. Again...ANY 7th or 8th grader is welcome, and we can't wait to talk about STEAM club during study hall today!

5. There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in swimming or diving this fall in the auditorium on Tuesday October 6th at 6:00 pm. The meeting is for athletes and their parents.

6. Congratulations to both the 7th and 8th grade girls volleyball teams who won their matches Monday night at Willard. Good luck tonight girls!

7. Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country team as they won the Osborne relays on Tuesday night. They were awarded with a gigantic trophy that you should totally check out in Mrs. LaCrosse’s room. The tigers were led by Peter Cencer, Jake case, Samantha Lesnak, Austin Brunow, Isaiah Polak, and Baron Dennis.  The Tiger Cross Country team will face some tough competition this weekend at the Huron Invitational. Good luck runners. You got this!

9. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
The Library is now open to the public! Tweens and teens under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult due to current safety regulations. The Library also has new Student Study Tables open from 3 - 4 pm and 4 - 5 pm after school. Do you need a place to study or wait for a ride after school? Teens ages 12 - 18 can reserve their own private table in the Library. Visit huronlibrary.org to make a reservation.

Teens in Grades 7 - 12 put your TikTok skills to the test and enter the Teen Monthly TikTok Challenge for a chance to win some cool prizes. Each month, the Library will provide a new theme for your TikTok videos. September's theme is pirates (ARGHHHH). Create a unique 10 - 60 second clip and send it to us by the end of the month for a chance to win and be featured on our social media pages! Visit huronlibrary.org for full contest rules.
