Announcements - Thursday, October 1, 2020

1.  Congratulations to the Huron Ladies Golf team who won their Sectional Tuesday!  Good luck at Districts on October 5th.  

2.  If interested in joining the yearbook staff please attend a meeting immediately after school in Mrs. Lee's room (216) today or Friday.

3. Attention all juniors and seniors:  Invitations for this year's National Honor Society's Fall induction went out via email.  Check your email to see if you qualified.  Instructions on how and when to apply were included in the email.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Arambula.

4.  If you have a Chrome book checked out from the school, you can stop by the office to get a cover during your study hall.

5. Senior girls interested in ordering "I Love Huron Football" t-shirts, order forms are available in the high school office.  You will need to drop your order off at Bennetts.  

6.  Attention students:  If you would like to be issued a locker to use before school, before lunch and after dismissal, please come to the main office during your study hall to sign one out.

7.  Parking tags are still on sale in the high school office for $5.  You need to purchase a new one each year.

8.  From the Huron Public Library:
Need a place to study or wait for a ride after school? The Huron Public Library has new Student Study Tables open from 3 - 4 pm and 4 - 5 pm after school. Teens ages 12 - 18 can reserve their own private table in the Library. Visit huronlibrary.org to make a reservation.

Think you are good at TikTok challenges? Teens in Grades 7 - 12 can put your TikTok skills to the test and enter the Teen Monthly TikTok Challenge for a chance to win some cool prizes. Each month, the Library will provide a new theme for your TikTok videos. October's theme is Halloween. Create your best spooooky 10 - 60 second clip and send it to us by the end of the month for a chance to win and be featured on our social media pages! Visit huronlibrary.org for full contest rules.

The Teen Library Council's next meeting via Zoom is on Monday, October 12 at 4 pm. Join the discussion to add your ideas to improve the Library and the Huron community! New members are welcome to join!
