1. There will be a McCormick Junior Honor Society meeting for the McCormick Halloween planning during Channel One for all Gray members today; and for Red members on Tuesday. Those who are at the high school for math in the morning, please stop down and see Mrs. Aber during the day.

2. Congratulations to the 8th grade girls volleyball team who won their match at Oak Harbor on Wednesday. The girls are now 9-3. Good luck next week girls.

3. Junior high cheer clinic and tryout will be held on Tuesday, October 20th at McCormick Junior High Gymnasium from 5:30pm until 7:30pm. The only paperwork needed will be the emergency medical form if this is your first time attending a clinic and tryouts.

4. Are you an artist? Do you like to draw? If you would like to design the yearbook cover, please submit your own drawing to Mr. Maleski or Mrs. Brown by Friday, October 30th. You must put McCormick Jr. High 2020-21 on the cover and put that, along with your own drawing on an 8 1/2 by 11 inch. paper, which is a typical piece of computer paper. Put your name at the bottom of the drawing.

5. The undefeated 2020 SBC Champion Huron Tiger Football Team is inviting kids of all ages to Huron Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 10 from 2-3:30PM for "Donuts for Donations." Come check out the new turf field, meet the players, have some donuts & cider, and run through some fun drills with the team. Canned good donations are being accepted for local organizations. Please wear your masks. We'd love to see you there! Go Tigers!

7. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
Need a place to study or wait for a ride after school? The Huron Public Library has new Student Study Tables open from 3 - 4 pm and 4 - 5 pm after school. Teens ages 12 - 18 can reserve their own private table in the Library. Visit huronlibrary.org to make a reservation.

Think you are good at TikTok challenges? Teens in Grades 7 - 12 can put your TikTok skills to the test and enter the Teen Monthly TikTok Challenge for a chance to win some cool prizes. Each month, the Library will provide a new theme for your TikTok videos. October's theme is Halloween. Create your best spooooky 10 - 60 second clip and send it to us by the end of the month for a chance to win and be featured on our social media pages! Visit huronlibrary.org for full contest rules.

The Teen Library Council's next meeting via Zoom is on Monday, October 12 at 4pm. Join the discussion to add your ideas to improve the Library and the Huron community! New members are welcome to join!
