1. January 17th marks the end of second quarter. Grade cards will be withheld until fees are paid, library books returned, lunch charges paid, etc.

2. TOMORROW there will be a meeting for any student that is interested in working on the 2019-2020 yearbook 7th graders should bring their lunch to Mr. Maleski's room. 8th graders should bring their lunch to Mrs. Brown's room. Hope to see you there!

3. Power of the Pen will meet Friday after school. Only a few more writing practices until the tournament on February 8th. Be there!

4. January’s core value is Honesty and Integrity.

5. From the Huron Public Library:
Get those New Year's resolutions off to a good start with the Kindness Campaign at the Huron Public Library. From Monday, January 6th to Saturday, January 11th stop by the Library to learn about ways to help the Huron community. We will also be taking donations of non-perishable food items and winter gear like coats, hats, gloves, and scarves during this week. Start the new decade off with some good karma!

NEW THIS WINTER: The Library will be holding an Introductory Meeting for our brand-new Teen Photography Club. If you are interested in learning about photography, or just want to improve your skills with people your own age, join this club. The first meeting is on Saturday, January 11th at 10am. Future meetings will be determined by the group and cameras will be provided.

On Sunday, January 12th, the Library will be showing a special viewing of the movie Abominable. Cool treats and beverages will be provided. The movie begins at 2:30pm.

Also, on Sunday, January 12th, the Teen Library Council will be meeting to create the Blind Date with a Book display for the Library. If you want to join the Teen Library Council to meet others that enjoy making a difference in their community, come to this meeting beginning at 3pm.

Perhaps you'd like a break from the freezing reality of winter? In that case, join our NEW monthly Dungeons & Dragons Club. Whether you're a seasoned player or even if you've never played before, this club gives you the chance to experience a fantasy world where your imagination is the only limit. The next meeting is on Monday, January 27th from 4-7pm. Visit the Teen Services section of the Library's website to register today!
