1. 8th graders interested in playing football next year – there will be an informational meeting TODAY at 2:40pm in the auditorium.
2. REMINDER – There is a scheduled two-hour delayed start TOMORROW.
3. Parent-Teacher conferences are Thursday, March 5th from 3pm-7pm. Parents should call the office to schedule a conference time.
4. Power of the Pen will meet Friday from 2:40pm-3:40pm.
5. 2020 Football Cheer tryouts will be held in March. There will be a one-day cheer clinic held on Tuesday, March 24th from 5:00pm - 6:30pm at the high school gymnasium. Tryouts will be held on Wednesday, March 25th starting at 5:00pm.
6. Congratulations to all the Power of the Pen writers who attended the District Tournament at Columbia Station: Brooke Randall, Katie Putman, Andrea Schwartz, Campbell Fleck, Jayden Towns, Rachel Meadows and Hunter Hoffman. Everyone wrote 3 stories to 3 different prompts and did well. Special congratulations to Hunter Hoffman whose stories earned him a place at the District Tournament at Baldwin-Wallace University on March 14th! McCormick Writers rock!
7. Junior Honor Society members - keep your eyes and ears open for a quick meeting sometime this week, probably during Channel One. We have an event to be present for on March 26th from about 5pm–7pm. Clear your calendars! Dinner and a Show for Huron's Senior Citizens. All Honor Society members are expected to attend and help greet, serve and clean up.

Today is Game Night at the Library. Beginning at 6pm, this session features the game Unstable Unicorns where you can build a unicorn army and betray your friends! No registration required.
Looking for a way to exercise your brain this spring? The Library hosts Chess three days a month. Brush up on your chess skills or learn how to play this Saturday, March 7th from 10am - 12pm. All ages are welcome.
Maybe you are looking for a way to help your community this spring? Join the Teen Library Council to help the Library make decisions about teen programming and materials. The next meeting is Sunday, March 8th at 3pm. This session will be discussing Summer Learning Program ideas.
The next Dungeons & Dragons Club meets on Monday, March 23rd, from 4-7pm. If you're looking for some escapism, join this club! Don't forget to complete the registration even if the club has a waitlist. If we get enough players on the waitlist, we can add another group!
If you missed the Introductory Meeting, there is still time to join the Teen Photography Club. This club meets on select Saturdays from 2-4pm to share photos and to learn the trade. Cameras are available for loan. At the end of the meetings, club members will be able to display their work in the Library Gallery.
