Announcements - Friday, 3/5/2020

1.  Seniors - Local scholarships are due to the HHS Counseling office this Friday, March 6th, by 2:30pm - no exceptions!  Please make sure you are ready to submit your applications and that you have included all the necessary documents in a neat and organized manner.  Please stop in with any questions.

2.  Deckhand employment opportunities:  Safe Harbor Marina out of Sandusky will be visiting during lunch periods today. Stop by their table to inquire about summer employment opportunities.

3.  TLC is hosting their annual March Madness Pop Tab drive during 5th period starting Monday the 9th through the 27th. At the end of each week the results will be posted in the cafeteria and the winning class, by weight, will win a Chick-fil-a party. Please note that any pop tab that has nail polish on it will be disregarded.

4.  2020 Football cheer tryouts will be held in March.  There will be a one day cheer clinic held on Tuesday, March 24th, from 3pm-4:30pm in the gym.  Tryouts will be held on Wednesday, March 25th, starting at 3:00pm.  All necessary paperwork will be available for pick up in the high school office on Monday, March 16th.

5.  The following are important CCP registration dates.  Be sure to stop into the HHS Counseling office with any schedule changes!
February 10th - Summer course offerings available to view
March 2nd - Open registration for summer
March 9th - Fall 2020 course offerings available to view
April 17th - Open registration for Fall 2020 term

6.  News from the Huron Public Library:

The Library hosts Chess three days a month.  Brush up on your chess skills or learn how to play this Saturday, March 7th, from 10am-12pm.

Join the Teen Library Council to help the Library make decisions about teen programming and materials.  The next meeting is Sunday, March 8th, at 3pm.  This session will be discussing Summer Learning Programs ideas.

If you missed the introductory meeting, there is still time to join the Teen Photography Club.  This club meets on select Saturdays from 2-4pm to share photos and to learn the trade.  Cameras are available for loan.  At the end of the meetings, club members will be able to display their work in the Library Gallery.
