1. REMINDER: Items you should bring to school EVERY DAY - Chromebook and charger (should be kept in the laptop sleeve) and your mask!

2. School will not be in session next week for students, Monday, November 23rd – Friday, November 27th.

3. Student Council would like to wish all students and staff a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

4. Student Council members, be sure to check Google Classroom for a message from Mrs. Rowen.

5. As the holidays approach, Student Council is asking students and staff to help out those in need by participating in the 12 days of Kindness Counts. Each day, Student Council will be collecting a different item to donate to the Huron Helping Hands Food Pantry. Each item donated earns 1 point for your homeroom, and the winning 7th and 8th grade homeroom will receive a special treat. See your homeroom teacher for the list of the items being collected. On Tuesday, December 1st, please bring in a canned vegetable or a can of tuna.

6. Are you and your parents taking extra time off at Christmas? A vacation form needs to be submitted to the office prior to the absence so that Mrs. Carter can approve the absence.

7. Chemo Care Package items can be donated from November 11th to December 4th. Please bring in new and sealed items to your homeroom class for the kids who are sick with cancer at Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals! The winning homeroom class in each grade will have a reward before Christmas break!

9. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
Reserve your private Student Study Table at the Library from Monday through Friday during the week to do homework, browse for Library materials, listen to music, or use the WiFi. Visit our website to make your reservation.

Teens in Grades 7 - 12 can put your TikTok skills to the test for a chance to win some local gift cards. November's TikTok theme is All Things Fall. Create your best 10 - 60 second clip and send it to us by the end of the month to win and be featured on our social media pages.

2020 has been an enlightening year to say the least. Take some time to reflect and write some introspective poetry. Then submit your poems to the 44839: Poetry Contest for a chance to win cash prizes and be featured in an annual poetry anthology book. Poems must be submitted by the end of November.
