HURON HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS - TUESDAY, 11/20/17
1.  Juniors you have taken the attendance lead by 2 days!  Sophomores, you are not far behind.  Freshmen and seniors, there are 18 more days until winter break - it can still be any grade's competition.

2.  NHS will be sponsoring a canned food drive during the week after Thanksgiving from Nov. 27 until Dec. 1.  Over the break, consider what quality non-perishable food (no Ramen noodles, please) and hygiene items you might be able to contribute.  The 1st period class with the highest per student donation average wins a Donut party.

3.
We regret to inform you that Jacob Thompson, the 9 year old boy in Maine with neuroblastoma, passed away on Sunday.  Our student body created so many beautiful Christmas cards for him, and his family's Facebook page thanks you and the many others who spent a moment to think of him.  Their request is to "Do something for others, donate blood and platelets, or use your talents to bring shelter, nourishment or joy to those in need in honor of Jacob’s memory."

4. If you have time this weekend, please join Interact, NHS, Student Council, and TLC members in watching the movie “Wonder” to refocus on kindness at the Sandusky Cinemark Movie Theater, Saturday, Nov. 25, at 10:30 a.m. You pay only $4.75 for this early movie. See Mrs. Merckens while there if you need a point for one of these organizations.

5.  Lifetouch will be in to take senior head shots for those not yet photographed by them on Wednesday, December 6, from 7am-11am.

6.  The United States Air Force will be visiting Huron High School on Monday, November 27th @ 10am. If you would like to meet with their representative - you must sign up through Naviance.
